November you did NOT disappoint. I was looking for a month full of productivity and relaxation. Friends and downtime. Family and laughter. A time to slow down a little and focus on things that are more important. I’m so incredibly grateful that it happened.
Our nine year wedding anniversary was November 4th. In an attempt to save some cash, we both agreed to not do gifts or anything big. I had zero expectations. I even told hubs to not get me flowers, as he always does, just to keep it super low key. On November 3rd we were driving home and that hubs of mine spontaneously drove to my favorite sushi place. He gets me. We gorged on raw fish, rolls, appetizers we had never tried before, and maybe a little sake. It was fantastic. Just what we needed. Then we stopped before heading home to pick up an ENTIRE chocolate cake and bottle of champagne. The second we got home we threw on pj’s, and enjoyed a fire. #perfectnight
Next up, the cutest little niece of mine’s second birthday (which happens to be on our anniversary)! She had a princess tea party and it was ADORBS. I mean, just look at that face! We got her a baby doll but she was much more happy about the cottage cheese she had begged for all day long. #shesdefinitelytwo
Then, Adele released Hello and my world stopped. Not really but I want my world to stop when the song comes on. In my car, at work, during dinner. Everything must STOP and be silent so I can crank it up and belt it out. Remember the Desperado episode from Seinfeld? That’s me with the song. #icantstop
Friendsgiving was upon us and we were so excited! We had way too much food. Friends we hadn’t seen in too long. Kiddos running around everywhere. Hot apple cider + Fireball (<– please try it STAT). And lots of laughter. We received requests for Friendsmas and planning is already in the works. #success
Thanksgiving was next up and we felt ready. It was a little smaller than our prior feast so we were pretty prepared. I switched up the menu a tad, stocked up on firewood, and prepared for a casual, relaxing, family fun, food-filled night. It did not disappoint! #soverythankful
As I shared before, we aren’t big Black Friday shoppers. We use the day to chillax and decorate for Christmas. Our tree is picked out and put up, Christina Aguilera is belting out my fav Christmas jams, and lots of hot chocolate and apple cider is consumed. I had even finished a good amount of Christmas shopping and already wrapped up the gifts. That is seriously unheard of, folks. I’m always the last minute shopper! #readyforchristmas
Thanks, November for treating me well. I’m incredibly grateful for a month of much needed happiness. #bringitondecember
